Rev. Daniel J. Commerford

Dan has served as Pastor of First Presbyterian since July of 2016. Growing up in Minnesota, Dan always thought he may become a pastor, but did not seriously begin to discern God’s call until he was in college at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating college, Dan moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he earned his Master of Divinity at Union Presbyterian Seminary. Dan spent his first few years of ordained ministry as pastor of a church outside of Atlanta, Georgia. His passion for ministry is helping others connect their faith in Christ with what is happening in their lives and their world. When he is not serving at church, Dan loves to be active outdoors, involve himself with music in any way possible, and spend time with his wife Rachel, his children Hannah and Micah, and his dogs Jabba and Lilah. Dan’s email address is dan@tequestapres.org.

Crystal Botha

Crystal has been serving at First Presbyterian since 2010. However working in the ministry has been a lifelong journey for her. Growing up in the Deep South, she has served in music and children’s ministry since the age of 13.  Crystal has an extensive background in music and education, and has a passion for children and loves to serve the Lord.  First Pres. has made an impact on her life, revealed by the loving grace of Jesus Christ. She feels privileged to be an instrument to now share that Good News with others who are seeking God’s presence and considers it a blessing to be able to come to work while living out her faith at the same time. When Crystal’s not at work you can find her out on the water, enjoying Jupiter’s beautiful beaches, playing the piano, kickboxing and spending time with her family. She and her husband together have 4 children, ranging in age from 10 to 22, a dog, and 2 cats. Together they actively serve in mission work here in the community and in South Africa. Email her at crystal@tequestapres.org.
