Nursery Care
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Every Sunday morning, we provide nursery supervision under the care of a nurturing and loving staff. Our newly renovated nursery provides a fresh, clean, and safe space for your child.
Hours are from 9:45 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Children’s Sunday School
“Train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Children’s Sunday School is for children preschool age through the 5th grade. We meet on Sunday mornings during the worship hour. The children are invited to join us for the first part of worship and then go to Sunday School following the Children’s Sermon. Our Children’s Sunday School is led by a loving team of dedicated volunteers, many of whom are parents themselves!
Interactive Bible games, music, crafts and snacks all engage children in meaningful Christian lessons that help the word of God come alive. We use the PCUSA curriculum, “Follow Me: Biblical Practices for Faithful Living.” Children with special needs are welcome.
Our Children’s Ministry engages in regular mission work, fun outings, and seasonal celebrations. Some of the highlights of our year include Rally Day, the Church Picnic, Family Fun Days, Strawberry Festival, the Live Nativity, Youth Sunday, Birthday Party for Jesus, and summer movie and pizza parties.
Children’s Sunday School meets throughout the year. We hope you will join us this Sunday!

Vacation Bible School
2024 Registration will open the week following Easter.
Every summer we reach out to the community and host a week-long Vacation Bible School Summer Camp. Children ages preschool through fifth grade learn about God’s love by introducing them to stories about Jesus’ life and teaching, inspirational music, and lasting friendships.
Over 50 volunteers from our congregation come together in an effort to provide a lasting foundation for young people. Vacation Bible School is a wonderful opportunity for students who are middle and high school ages to come together for community service and leadership development.
The camp runs one week mid-summer from 9 a.m. until noon Monday – Thursday, with a celebration on Friday at 10 a.m. Volunteers are encouraged to contact Crystal Botha, the camp director, for a matching of skills and interest areas at crystal@tequestapres.org.
Acolytes
“When Jesus spoke to the people he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Our acolyte program is available for children ages 2nd grade and older. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to participate in the Worship Service and learn more about serving within the church. It is also a unique opportunity for children to set a good example for other children to follow.
Acolytes are encouraged to actively attend worship, nurture their faith and know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Acolytes must complete a training course that explains the significance of acolyting and safety procedures.
To learn more about our Acolyte program, please contact our Director of Family Ministries, Crystal Botha at crystal@tequestapres.org or call the Office of Family Ministries at 561-746-5161 ext 105.
